Princess Linens sent over scrubs for Cuteness factor is off the charts, and the only thing that kept me from posting sooner was knowing the Bloggy Giveaways was coming up soon and I wanted to let this be the giveaway that represented this blog as well as get maximum exposure for this product.

Because they’re too cute, and you can win a personalized set for your little doctor-to-be!

The Smart Mama (Blog Review)

July 22, 2008 · by Jennifer Gniadecki · Filed Under MommyBlog Reviews · 2 Comments

I found this site through Prizey.com – they’re having a Wii giveaway after all and who could stay away with such an amazing prize being involved?

I’m glad I went, odds being close to zero or not, because this site is fantastic! The steps are really simple, the advice is fantastic, and the writing is fun and conversational.

If you’re looking to find out more about green living with kids, this blog is a resource you don’t want to miss!

Beyond Time-Out (Book Review)

July 21, 2008 · by Jennifer Gniadecki · Filed Under MommyBlog Reviews · Comment

image One of the things I’ve always wondered is what to do when "Time Out" doesn’t work. I mean, you would think a kid would be smart enough to figure out that sitting in one place for two minutes isn’t going to make the world end. The full subtitle and subtext on the cover of this book show even more of what’s inside:

Beyond Time-Out
From Chaos to Calm
Tame Tantrums | Calm Fears | Instill Good Sleep Habits
End Food Battles | Overcome Potty Problems

It sounds like a dream come true, doesn’t it? Read on and see if by Beth Grosshans and Janet Burton deliver what they promise with this lofty title!

Mothers Need Time-Outs, Too (Review)

July 17, 2008 · by Jennifer Gniadecki · Filed Under MommyBlog Reviews · 1 Comment

Mothers Need Time-Outs, Too I am not only a big fan of the giveaway portion of giveaways – I participate in many as well. (You don’t start a blog to give things away and share insights to hopefully help others because you hate free stuff…I’m just sayin’)

So I entered a giveaway and viola! I won!

First off, a huge shout-out to BostonMamas.com for hosting the giveaway and making me feel like a winner…also thanks to McGraw-Hill Professional for knowing how great it is to sponsor a giveaway through the blogosphere for exposure.

When I received my copy of Mothers Need Time-Outs, Too I thought this was going to be a fun book. The cover has polka dots and a rubber duckie – there are painted toes in a bubble bath. How could it go wrong?
