Third Annual Gap Casting Call and Giveaway

Gap is touring the country (in partnership with lilsugar and Snapfish) to see if your little one has what it takes to be voted the new face of GapKids and BabyGap! The Third Annual Gap Casting Call is searching for next year’s cutest, freshest face. Could your little one be the one? There’s only one way to know, get out there and go to a casting call!
Super cool interview
I’m so excited – I was lucky enough to score an interview with super-busy, super-nice Heather Maddan of lilsugar to get some tips that will help you and your little ones get through a casting call. Even if you have never been to one before,
“The worst thing you can do is make your kids feel uncomfortable,” says Heather. “Be casual and let the kids enjoy themselves. Children are amazing when they’re just being children and the photographer will capture that.”
Heather also says you should avoid putting your kids in clothes they won’t be comfortable in. Make sure your little one has freedom of movement, because that will add to the comfort level and make for a better picture at the end of the day. If your child is happy in a t-shirt and pair of little khakis – that is what you should have them wear to the photo shoot.
Heather assures me this is a fun event for the kids and that the “kid wranglers” are very friendly and helpful. If the line is too long, they’ll even give you a time card…so you can go have fun and come back when it’s time for your shoot.
I don’t know about you, but I think it is fantastic that The Gap cares about my kid getting antsy in line.
Don’t fear the perfect little children
A representative from The Gap, Katie O’Kane, told MommyBlog Reviews, “The purpose of this shoot is personality. We want that spark, that look that connects with you and makes you smile.” It’s not about the most polished kids or the most perfect kids.
Your child is already good enough, pretty enough, handsome enough, and basically everything else enough to be part of this casting call. This isn’t about six foot high bouffant hair and lipstick on a two year old. This is real kids wearing real clothes, and your child is welcome to come and participate.
It helps that Gap is making the casting call easier than ever. You don’t have to have photos, an agent, or an unhealthy desire to see your child become rich and famous. A relaxed atmosphere, a few pictures, and you are on your way to becoming the next face of The Gap.

I’ll be at the casting call in downtown Chicago on Michigan Avenue (it starts at 9am and goes until 3pm), but there are still more coming – check here to see if your state has an upcoming casting call.
Even if you can’t make it to any of the casting calls, or your state has already had one, you can still enter to win! Disregard that last comment; my computer’s screwed up. Anyway, can these gift cards be used at the outlet stores? For some reason, I always have better luck finding my size at the outlet than at the regular store.

Hi, this is my first time on your site, but this is really cool stuff! I am a missionary wife in Mexico. I finally lost weight after 3 years of being pregnant and breastfeeding my 2 girls. Last night I was on a search trying to find GAP jeans for as inexpensive as possible!
